What to expect from your massage session:
I will ask preliminary questions to determine your overall health and wellness goals.
I will consider information about your physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels, medications, and any areas of physical pain that could affect your massage therapy outcome. This information helps me structure the session to achieve your health and wellness goals.
Before your massage, you will be asked to remove clothing to your level of comfort.
I will leave the treatment room while you undress. Take off only as much as you are comfortable removing. Lie on the massage table, underneath the provided sheet. I will knock on the door to see if you are ready or if you need a few minutes. Once you are ready, I will enter the treatment room and get you situated with pillows and bolsters.
Music will be played. If you find music distracting or prefer to have something different played- please let me know.
The time allotted for your session is yours and you can decide how you want to spend it. You can choose not to talk during your session or if talking is what you need, that is okay too.
I will check in on the pressure and your comfort throughout your session. If you are uncomfortable at any time, please let me know. I will adjust to make sure your session is exactly what you need.
The massage table is padded and heated. If at any time you want the heat turned off, please let me know.
My sessions are customized specifically to your needs on that day. I have been practicing for 25 years, and I can tell what areas need more attention. I use several modalities to arrive at the goal we set for your physical and mental health.
Remember to breathe normally. Let your body fall onto the table. Do not try to lift anything for me. I will do all of the work.
The session usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes depending on what length of time you chose.
After your session ends, I will remove all pillows and bolsters and ask you to get up slowly, sit on the edge of the table for a few deep breaths, and then get dressed. I will step out of the treatment room and you can come out once you are ready.
